My scholarship focuses on the application of management and performance-management principles to organisations and institutions, with an emerging specialization in Military Performance Management (MPM). My research examines how individual, unit and institutional performance can be aligned with organisational capabilities and strategic objectives, with particular attention to military and defence institutions.
Management, Performance and Institutional Effectiveness
I am a Management scholar at Nigerian Army University Biu, Nigeria. My academic work spans human resource management, performance appraisal, organisational behaviour, performance management, strategic performance management and institutional effectiveness.
Building on this foundation, my current research programme focuses particularly on Military Performance Management (MPM), including its conceptual and theoretical foundations and its application to military and defence institutions. This work examines how the performance of military personnel and units connects with institutional effectiveness, military capability and the achievement of strategic defence objectives..

A major focus of my current scholarship is Military Performance Management (MPM), an emerging interdisciplinary area connecting performance management, strategic management, human resource management and defence-management perspectives.
This research approaches military performance as a multi-level phenomenon extending beyond individual appraisal to the management, alignment and improvement of performance across personnel, units, institutions, military capability and strategic defence objectives.
The programme further examines the roles of leadership, human resources, training, doctrine, organisational systems, resources, technology, accountability and institutional adaptation in supporting military and strategic objectives.
